I wonder if Trump ever turns his ire on the "Freedom Caucus". They hold
similar policy positions in some areas, but that group of republicans thrives on outrage. If they ever go along with an initiative, they risk losing the "outsider" image, while opening themselves up to criticism, so they tend to move their demands on legislation to sabotage any passage at the 11th hour. They're also entirely inflexible. It's much easier to attack than to attempt forging ahead with imperfect compromises.
However, Trump will eventually want to have his name on legislation. The Freedom Caucus is what ~30 of the republicans' ~240? They will remain a roadblock unless republicans pick up enough seats to render their antics moot. It appears GOP numbers are headed in the other direction.
More gridlock ahead.
