As I've posted a number of times, and you're free to search, I was opposed
to the republican maneuver. Garland absolutely deserved meetings, a hearing, consideration, and a vote. He was as deferential a nomination as republicans could have hoped for from a democrat POTUS, and from what I gather supremely qualified.
That said, he wasn't going to be confirmed. Republicans had the votes to block him. So in that respect, I'm almost glad he didn't get the public hearing, and the trashing accompanying it (though I hope republicans would have been kinder to him knowing his nomination would fail).
What bothers be about this from Feinstein is the dirty & personal nature of the tactic. Similar to Ronny Jackson being called a drunk, pill pushing doc to block his nomination for VA sec. It's one thing to raise questions of suitability for the position. Character assassination to a political end is something else. If there is a substantive case, press it responsibly. Just remember that there is a person on the other end of that gambit.
