the primaries from someone to their right. The non-embracers are willing/forced to play along with President Crazytown so they can concentrate on the general election, which they'll probably win. Look at the list of loyal GOP stalwarts who lost to Tea Party people in the primaries. Bo Biden didn't run for the Senate in 2010 because he thought he would be running against Mike Castle, who was thought to be the most popular GOP person in the state until he lost to a witch. Chris Coons ran as a "sacrificial victim" and easily won. Now it's the MAGAs instead of the Tea Partiers.
