There are those who believe due process is an antiquated hurdle to justice
However, I don't think they are representative of those responsibly advocating for alleged victims more generally. Given the usual power dynamics in sexual assault / harassment, and the potential ramifications for coming forward, there has been an attempt to shield accusers from backlash. It's not a judgment on the veracity of their claim, but rather not dismissing them out of hand, and trying to stop the harassment they often face (doxxing, threats, loss of employment, etc).
Where things get murky is when that dynamic gets mixed in with trials by media / kangaroo courts on college campuses.
