What's this?

It isn't fake news, its the "news" of outrage at every

little perceived slight, insult, bias, etc. The "news" that everything is some kind of "attack." It is the "news" that this will "destroy" our country, that will "destroy" our world - the "news" that spews constant fear of crime, death and destruction "perpetrated" by those evil ______.

It comes from all political persuasions. And more importantly, this isn't just the news media (though they are a big platform for it) - but politicians and other using the media, social media etc. This very much includes the current President - IMO he is both a major symptom of where we are and a major catalyst making it worse.

Part of the problem is "news" as entertainment. Part of the problem is the echo chamber of social media. Part of the problem is this culture of being offended we have from every corner. Not sure what the solutions are but we really need to grow up, step out of the bubbles and stop listening to the blowhards in the media, politics, from Washington, on social media etc.
