Interesting psychology study on socioeconomic status and reward behavior
Was going to post on Corner board, but a lot of the discussion may delve into soapbox territory, so thought I would put it here. I have an interest in this type of stuff, and thought others here might also appreciate it. A lot of the conclusions makes some sense to me, and probably sync with a lot of observations I make with my own patient population (I see indigent patients and their families as well as affluent ones, so I always like to observe the contrasts in child behaviors and how they behave/interact with their parents). Nice to see challenging old accepted outcomes data. Might help to explain WHY there are certain behaviors that some groups admonish out there as wasting of welfare/safety net dollars we allocate that recipients aren't always using towards essentials.
