Not so fast. We are talking about a different level of impropriety, howeve
the actions of the Bidens is not completely above reproach. Hunter Biden's actions were greedy, selfish, and stupid. He profitted from trading on his father's name. The energy executives involved in Ukraine at least initially were doing the same thing. They took it several steps further by leveraging political connections to get an ambassador removed and attempt to leverage Ukrainians to remove energy execs. Hunter Biden is not guilty of doing so, but its still in the same ball park.
As for Joe Biden, its a gray area. His son was at no point personally under investigation, and the company Hunter was paid by was not under investigation at the time, and everyone was calling for the removal of the prosecutor, however, the optics still look bad. Joe Biden was close enough that he probably should not have been the point person from the US leading to push to remove the prosecutor. The reasons for removing the guy were totally legit, and Biden has political coverage, but still, a poor decision.
