Here's a thought: Donald Trump said the Whistleblowers were traitors ...
and should not be afforded Whistleblower protection laws. If he just kept his mouth shut, safety wouldn't be an issue. You do know the Whistleblower Law is Chuck Grassley's biggest legacy in the Senate. Even he backed the Whitleblower.
Secondly, an IG appointed by Donald Trump verified the whistelblower's testimony/complaint as credible and URGENT.
Third, the White House confirmed the Whistleblower's complaints with the release of the phone summary. They never denied it. What a bunch of IDIOTS. They also confirmed the partial transcript was kept in a high classified server. Giuliani, Pompeo, etc. were all involved in the withholding of Ukraine aid. Let's not for get the damning texts. The complaint is proving to be true.
Trump admitted to the major premise of the complaint on the White House Lawn. That's not up for debate as his biggest supporters claim the statements were just a "joke." What an idiot.
BOTTOMLINE: No one is arguing against the underlying complaint. POTUS asked a foreign country for dirt on a political rival in a future election by withholding taxpayer monies. The only real question is INTENT. Speculation is that even Gordon Sondland will admit there was a Quid Pro Quo except it was not corrupt ... whatever that means?
Was Trump really pushing Ukraine for the good of the country ... or was it a personal motive? The timeline, Trump's words / actions, Giuliani, Pence, Pompeo, Parnas, Fruman, the envoy's texts / testimonies, the withholding of documents, hiding the partial transcript in a highly classified server, etc. aren't helping. The biggest issue is providing enough cover for the Republican Senators from the public to convict Trump. Attacking the messenger and the process is just misdirection.
Instead of blaming the Whistleblower, how about questioning Trump for the incompetence that put him in this position again? Of all his faults, his stupidity scares me most. What moron thought the partial transcripts would absolve him? Trump did. That's like OJ handing over the knife to the police and claiming it was the perfect weapon.
