This is just another way that the Democrats are gutless


It is perfectly reasonable to tax employees for the market value of fringe benefits such as employer-provided health insurance. This is the kind of change that should be phased in and balanced with other benefits. It would also act as a counterweight to over-wrought "health care" plans which over-incentivize consumption of health care services and medications and under-incentivize healthy lifestyle choices.

Our entire health care system falls in the category of things that emerged as historical accidents that we as a society never would have chosen directly.
