Whatever Trump is ... he's not a conservative.
I've always considered myself moderate leaning right due to economic policies. The conservatives I know is about the rule of law, less government, fiscal responsibility, and a strong foreign US policy pushing democracy.
Trump spits at the rule of law; eroded the credibility of our institutions (Intteligence community, DOJ, State Dept., FEDs, and now the Pentagon); he constantly meddles in private businesses; our deficit is skyrocketing (the Moron thought printing more money would reduce the debt); makes friends with despots; lost a ton of credibility with our allies; we look like cowards in the Middle East; etc.
I dont blame our younger generation abandoning the conservative party. I don't know what the Republican party stands for. It was an internal battle coming to peace with some of their social planks (I tend to be more progressive in that aspect), but I never questioned the party's integrity.
