I send folks to Congress to legislate and part of that is voting. Not


voting is a slgihtly lesser evil in my book than not voting your mind (but instead sticking with your tribe) but only slightly. This was a vote on procedure. No one was asking them to decide to impeach.

This government doesn't work as intended (in my mind) unless the populace can determine the actions of their elected officials and via those actions the officials' beliefs.

We have gotten to a point where legislators are deliberately preventing votes or holding meaningless votes. How can a democracy function that way over the long term?
