Ok I’m going to post two things that show very different viewpoints

E. Warren criticizes the 1994 crime bill as putting people in jail but with no impact on “keeping us safer”

But this graph from Wikipedia on US crime shows a very different picture. It doesn’t show causation. But it sure doesn’t show “no change”
