and independents with a rational mind. ~30% of the country will always support Trump. It's about the other ~35% of country who are listening with an open mind.

Jordan, Nunes, Stefanik, etc. are playing to their base. It's the Reps and Senators in purple districts who are scared of out their mind. Trump's losing the suburbs, women, and educated ... that's not good for many Republicans. This impeachment only makes it worse.

To possibly lose the House, Senate, and White House in 2 years during a major swing in an economy ... it's devastating. Recent elections results show that if the Democrats nominate moderate liberals ... they will be a blue wave in 2020. This is what scares the Republicans. This is why they keep attacking the Bidens.
