and other credible witnesses does not corroborate his testimony, he can become another Roger Stone.

If I'm Sondland's lawyer, I'd tell him to do a lot of "to the best of my recollection" unless he knows there are credible witnesses who can dispute his "recollection." Then he better come clean. Furthermore, it's a chance to clean up any of his closed testimony.
