It's pretty amazing the things we learned out of the book...

...that don't apply (and haven't in awhile). I mentioned the Phillips Curve elsewhere. There's also 'supply side being inflationary', 'crowding out', and the really antiquated notion of '5% U/E is functionally full employment'.

I asked my son (COMM15) if those concepts are still being taught. The answer was 'yes', just not as stridently.
