Certainly don’t disagree with you - clear shift of funds
Fortunately, I can afford to get care off base, although with a daughter in college, an adult child with special needs at home and another child headed for college in a few years, I’d love to have less expensive care - especially when I’m ready to stop working. Was at the base pharmacy last week - 75 minute wait to pick up an RX and 2 of 6 pickup windows staffed. Most of the folks waiting were retirees. I live in Colorado Springs and have 4 large military bases nearby, but over the years, they have gradually shuddered the level of care down to one main hospital (Fort Carson) and some medical “hobby shops” as many have been known to call them at the other installations. The level. of care for active duty is suffering too and that is really a sad state of affairs.
