Ms ODR is in a position to know exactly what's going on with those things in our state. There are not enough tests, there is not enough equipment of any/all types. The only potentially true thing Trump has said about these things so far is that help is on the way. He's said that over and over and over of course, but apparently it actually is finally in motion. But he lied about that, too, until finally he didn't. All presidents lie about stuff - big stuff, too (Remember the Maine, munitions on the Lusitania, CIA destabilization of legitimate foreign governments, Vietnam - big list of big stuff) but Trump lies about Trump, I just don't get it.

But there is good news here - at present at least: due to our governor (who Trump called a 'snake' and 'nasty' - leading to a different question - Why does our president intentionally divide us during the worst crisis since WWII?) and local officials (all rabid Dems BTW) who shut us down and imposed social distancing, our hospitals are not overwhelmed (yet - not yet) even though we were ground zero and have high population density here in Puget Sound. If we had trusted what Donald Trump told us, we'd be Milan right now - or NOLA or NYC. One of the things I told my kids over and over growing up was that the people who survive in a crisis are the people who react and move first - I was thinking more about plane crashes, earthquakes, and mass shooters, but it certainly applies here, too. Trump's lack of leadership and insistence on making every decision looking through an ideological prism is going to cost a lot of lives in this country. Not saying he could've prevented this - Covid-19 was coming no matter what - but we could've been so much better prepared if he'd been a competent president. How can anyone paying attention to what he actually does vs what he says he does want him to have a second term?
