Docs who believe it does help, most are saying it’s not a late stage treatment but rather something that can help your immune system not overreact early on. My wife takes it for Sjogrens and I remember the doc talking to us about it before she started it ... well-understood, low likelihood of short term side effects, need to monitor eye sight annually for long term side effects (of course she’s a 33 year old, 120lb fitness instructor not a 70 year old pushing 3 bills, so who knows what side effects her doc didn’t bother mentioning). But based on that convo, I don’t think it’s nearly as dangerous as most anti-Trumpers do—especially if the plan was for him to take it for a short time while the WH outbreak ran it’s course. In fact, I’ll bet that’s what the plan was, and Trump obviously didn’t mention that when he announced he was on it because he’s not a guy that tells the whole truth about anything.
