To your point about video evidence, I believe the reason we see video from
instances almost exclusively involving African Americans is primarily because that’s what gets the attention. It’s clear that the media has an agenda. That’s unarguable at this point. And I’m not saying that to downplay the problem of brutality specifically against African Americans. I’m just saying that just because we get widely covered videos of it happening to black people doesn’t necessarily mean they’re the primary/only targets.
Also, I don’t believe I ever said racial profiling didn’t exist. If I did, I misspoke. I do believe racial profiling exists in the same way that racial stereotyping exists. I think that’s more of an unconscious bias most of the time.
