I’m not just blaming the media. I think the firestorm that always starts

when something like this happens is the biggest reason why I believe people overstate the scale of these events.

And I agree that there is a problem of police brutality that needs to be solved. A lot of the brutality happens in majority African American communities. I’m down to focus on fixing those issue whether you’re talking about it generally or only in cases of African Americans.

But to tie things back to my original point, I just disagree with how all of this is handled and I think the messaging of it is unwarranted and unhelpful for Floyd’s murder specifically.

I appreciate the convo. I’ve restrained myself from discussing this stuff on social media because it’s so toxic. I knew I would get mostly real conversation here.
