Perhaps part of the problem is that these cops you know view the people

whose neighborhoods they are policing as "lowlifes" and "the worst of society"? Just a thought. I'm sure there are no elements of stereotype, racial prejudice, or anything else in those assumptions they make about people.

Again, looking at the actual data, minority kids who live in urban areas are no more likely to, say, smoke or possess weed, than white kids in the suburbs but are something like 10X more likely to be searched and arrested for it. Are they really "lowlifes" while the suburban white kids are just kids being kids, or is there a problem in police attitudes and tactics?
