My school division has been developing plans to get as many kids as safely possible into the classroom.

As a retired teacher, I'm thankful I don't have to go in there to herd cats. I worry about my wife going, however. She may retire, depending on how the plans are implemented.

My greatest concerns are what happens when a kid becomes exposed to Covid-19 outside of school and comes to school one or more days before that exposure comes to light. Will the parents inform the school? Will they try to mask the fever and other symptoms? Will the school division act on the information and quarantine the student(s) who may have been in close proximity of the student? Will the teacher who has been exposed be granted paid leave without getting their sick leave dinged? Who will substitute?

There are so many things to consider.
