No matter what the current conditions have been in the country; from very good economy, historically low unemployment, relative peace, no scandals....to the times of Stormy Daniels, Mueller investigation, impeachment...and now to a dreadful response to a pandemic, over 130,000 dead after the virus was going to magically go away, and the handling of the racial unrest....the approval rating has never been above 50%, and really never below 40%. I can remember George W. Bush was below 30 by the time he left office I believe. His base is as solid as a rock.
