Funny experiences with my European friends. In two specific cases, they
arrived here for the first time and were astounded that I wasn't hiding in my house with machine guns and electrified fences around my property (ok, maybe a bit of an exaggeration, but not much). They have an impression of a constant war zone in America.
Another thing is that they are all astounded at how much I and my family/friends work. They work a fair amount, but have a really nice lifestyle, flying around for vacations all the time.
Edited to add, that those friends expecting a war zone ended up loving America and they come to visit whenever they can. [Post edited by HoosWillWin at 07/29/2020 4:57PM]
