I’ll go with the CDC which has it at 100k


with people largely not changing behavior and that was over a 2 year period of time. We lost 1/3 that many just in the state of NY in 3 months and that was with a total and complete shutdown after the surge. The Hong Kong flu may have been a big deal, but it is not remotely comparable to covid except for the willfully ignorant (or just plain dumb/gullible but you don’t strike me as either). If we treated covid like we did the Hong Kong flu, we’d be closing in on 7 figures in deaths
