Regardless of who you back, does it really make sense to be able to vote 7


weeks or more prior to election day? Can't we at least wait until after the first debate? I don't know - I'm certainly not even close to a constitutional scholar, but I don't see the support for the trend toward voting earlier and earlier and earlier every cycle. It used to be said the race doesn't start until after Labor Day - now we can darn near vote prior to Labor Day. I know we'll never go back to a shorter window, but I find it a bit unsettling.
