Politicians being hypocritical....

The BS from 2016 was set up because of guys like Schumer himself, another DC flip flopper, who in 2007 (year remaining under Bush) stated:

" We should reverse the presumption of confirmation. The Supreme Court is dangerously out of balance. We cannot afford to see Justice Stevens replaced by another Roberts; or Justice Ginsburg by another Alito. Given the track record of this President and the experience of obfuscation at the hearings, with respect to the Supreme Court, at least: I will recommend to my colleagues that we should not confirm a Supreme Court nominee EXCEPT in extraordinary circumstances."

The GOP used his words and his position to do what they did. So, in a way, he fueled the 2016 fire with all of his blabbering, and that was all the fuel that was required in 2016. And then he goes and flips that position in 2016, and flops back again in 2020.

So now McConnell does the same thing. Flip Flop.

I really don't like the leadership of either party on either side. Schumer/Pelosi/Mcconnel, all just pond scum (and really old pond scum at that), but that seems to be what you need in order to be a "leader" in washington. Plenty of hypocrisy to go around, ESPECIALLY at the leadership level.
