I do have a problem with them each shooting 7 times when it was clear that all he had was a knife. If someone attacked an officer with a knife and they fired one or two perceived non-lethal shots to take them down then that in my mind is reasonable use of force. Firing 7 shots seems excessive to eliminate the threat.

Then again, I guess if you felt threatened enough you aren't going to think about shooting them in the leg or arm and hope that's enough to stop them. Plus if you miss you're going to get charged for endangering others.
