Being pro-civility, anti-violence, anti-extremism, pro rule of law, pro democracy, pro reason, pro democracy, pro logic, pro first amendment should be a positive norm.

Antifa, as generally defined for many, is not associated with the idea of being anti-fascist (which of course I and 99% are), but rather "Antifa" is a label to categorize a group that is extreme, frequently resorts to intimidation and violence, and in many cases, as being associated with anarchists and anti-capitalist.

If you see what is still happening in Portland or Seattle, or what happened in Madison, WI this summer, you can appreciate how many who are independents, moderate democrats, moderate republicans who are anti-fascist oppose the extreme group that they label as being "Antifa".
