Driven, and yes, criminal. I didn’t bring up the whataboutism ... you asked me to point out when Dems nominated a bullshit peddler, and I reminded you that they almost did. The things Bernie believes about any number of things from taxes to trade, and so many others are either easily disproven or the opposite view is widely held by mainstream experts in the field.

The only reason Sanders did *NOT* get nominated is because the Dems learned from the Republicans mistake and coalesced around the non-Bernie candidate in time. Recall that Trump started out polling in the single digits and his popularity snowballed.

If the Republicans coalesced around Rubio, Cruz, or Jeb! Early enough, I think it likely would’ve worked out the way Dems 2020 did. It’s just nobody believed until Trump actually did it that he would *actually* win. The Dems got the benefit of that experience.
