that raised eyebrows with DeSantis.

DeSantis has only himself to blame. It's not the R next to his name (although it might be for some). It's the fact he followed Trump lock and step when he didn't need to post-2018. He even had the audacity to spike the ball on COVID last Spring. He also tried to entice sporting events by packing fans into stadiums during a full blown pandemic. I was all for opening sooner than later, but DeSantis went overboard. It was the teams who had to refuse DeSantis' offer. Of course, people are going to be skeptical.

I don't think DeSantis is stupid. In fact, quite the opposite. He could have blazed his own path ... but decided to follow a sociopath. Even Tom Cotton had enough sense to seem somewhat independent. That's the political decision DeSanits made. It's not the R next to his name.
