That's not true at all. They are already extending hours as Balz pointed

out (CA, not Sleepy Joe/Pete initiated iirc). They could ask CA to allow owner operator trucks to haul loads, as well as basically any tractors willing to haul a trailer, rather than keep in force CA's limiting laws. They could allow anyone to work the docks in the interim to address the labor issues. They could even bring in Nat. Guard troops if they truly wanted (or is that only good enough for bus driver shortages).

I don't disagree with the fact that some of this is simply going to have to work itself out over time, but to pretend there is nothing they can do is simply your partisanship talking.
