Free speech/first amendment issues

From the right, Trump cries that his free speech rights are being violated. That’s obviously ridiculous because Twitter isn’t the government. Let companies silence whoever they want to silence.

From the left, Twitter can allow whatever users they want. If they want to allow trash, so be it. Users can choose to leave. And having the government police speech is a truly terrible idea. Sen. Klobachar might think it’s a good idea under a Dem government, but we’re one year removed from a Trump government. Would anyone trust the Trump government to fairly decide what speech can and can’t be permitted?

230 is fine as it is. The free market should determine whether companies cross a line with what they allow or what they censor.
