Haven’t seen a lot of details about his earlier behavior but they did have two different reports from teachers that the shooters behavior was concerning enough to call the parents in. The legal standard for a school employee to search a student for weapons is pretty low. Maybe they don’t have any specific protocols related to searches, or maybe they do and they weren’t followed? Either would be a problem. It also seems that they had at least two chances to search. Before the meeting and before he was allowed to go back to class. Seems negligent?
