I live maybe 4 mi from where an AUSA was assassinated in his home

I think I give her more than a pass here, she had every reason to be furious even if she could've controlled her anger better. To her credit, her outrage seemed to be almost entirely about the safety of her kids rather than 'I'm a big important person, how dare you.'

Thomas Wales was an Assistant US Attorney shot through a window in his home 20 years ago. Still unsolved although the FBI has a pretty good idea who's responsible but not enough proof to charge anyone. You can bet everyone in every US Attorneys office is well aware of this case.
