Not nearly as clear as you state - the data is so clear on the value of
vaccines reducing severity of illness and the effect this has to health care as well as employee availability that this is major reason for a vaccine policy. I'm also pretty sure the data is showing that the vaccinated are contagious for a smaller window. You are 100% right that the vaccines arent stopping transmission - but there are other important scientific metrics that are completely reasonable and shouldn't be controversial.
It doesn't mean lets boycott Starbucks and absolutely we should all be willing to show maximim intelligence and flexibility as more is learned. That certainly would be the definition of following tbe science. And not every mandate should just be taken as a given. But there is a lot more to the analysis than the angle that you presented as the full picture.
