I've been wondering all along whether the Pentagon could and would help Ukraine in this way. It seems like the answer is a definite yes. With modern communications ability and satellite reconnaissance, we could basically run the whole war from the Pentagon and just let the Ukrainians fire the weapons we give them at the targets we tell them to hit. I don't think it's a stretch to imagine that Kyiv is still under Ukrainian control thanks to US help.
