Opinion and made it limited to a specific delegation of authority to the EPA to make what the Court characterized as change significant enough that it should be new legislation. It certainly doesn’t invalidate federal agencies or even their rulemaking powers, but it does seem to limit authority they can be delegated by Congress to make new policy through discretionary rulemakings, and have to think it will be used to chip away at other delegations of authority to regulatory agencies in coming years.

This group (including Kavanaugh and even Roberts) have some interesting views on Separation of Powers, and, oddly enough, seem to acknowledge that Congress delegates authority to make reactive rules largely because it is a useless, squabbling body of peacocks incapable of doing so itself.
