Would you agree this exercise would be fair?

Take a look at the number of Chinese/Russian/what-have-you "peddlers," individuals with ties to the government (which is probably nearly anyone with a high net worth from one of these countries that could afford investing with or owning his properties) that made transactions prior to the election year to now. No need to make a big deal over something that may have been going on for a long time, and doesn't appear to be out of the norm. I would doubt that there is much information out there regarding transactions BEFORE the election for individual condominiums and one-off investments however.

The article admits as much that these sales have been going on for awhile, and also can't grasp that real estate value in Manhattan has skyrocketed in the past 4 years. I'm really not sure what the big deal is.
