I think you're conflating PC with vulgarity


With respect to PC, that is a more broad cultural term for protecting or artificially propping up those perceived to be inherently disadvantaged socially based on intersectionality, or topics that are taboo in a sense. I think the main point was that the folks who aren't protected under the "PC-umbrella" are fair game to be ostracized (fairly or unfairly, as evidenced by the cancer victim and young child) with little to no blowback from the mainstream. I admittedly don't watch these shows and only really catch some clips the day after, but from my vantage point, there seems to be a large disparity in what is propagated or promoted through social media skewed heavily towards the left (and this was even before Trump was elected too). I also think there is a sizeable population who thinks Trump is an a-hole, but thinks these folks are even bigger a-holes and thus tend to somehow think of him as a victim. But fair point, I see where you're coming from.
