I'd love to see a balanced budget. Doesn't mean I want to default.

I want a smaller government, particularly when it comes to entitlements. But defaulting on our debt is just irresponsible. Blowing up the financial markets doesn't fix our debt. And would you be in favor of raising taxes to fix the debt problem? There are two ways to solve it. Are tax increases entirely off the table? Do the GOPers in Congress and Bush deserve blame for cutting taxes so much in 2001 after Clinton and the GOP congress had the budget balanced?
