There are laws that cover kickbacks in connection with Medicare/Medicaid


claims, but not much I'm aware of beyond those other than maybe on the state level. The hook is some kind of government payment or claim ... but most of us use private payment/insurance systems.

Also would note there are dozens of creative ways to do kickbacks even where anti-kickback laws are enforced....and with smaller players they almost never are because the resources aren't there to build investigations.

Our healthcare system is dirty as all hell, and having for-profit providers is a big reason for that.
