The "two pertinent questions" in this piece, which seem to be big

causes of outrage from the Right, are ridiculous.

1. "Did the dossier trigger the FBI probe of the Trump campaign?"

Good Lord, there have been countless ties between the Trump campaign and Russia having nothing to do with the dossier, many of which were apparent just based on public information well before the dossier was even published in January. Manafort as campaign chairman with all his ties to Russia, Flynn's connections, Sessions lying about meeting with Russians, Trump's refusal to say a bad thing about Putin, and on and on and on. Given other non-dossier-related evidence of Russian meddling in the election in general, which the FBI was looking into anyway, no dossier was needed to prompt the FBI to take a further look into the Trump campaign.

2. "Did Mr. Comey or his agents use it as evidence to seek wiretapping approval from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court of Trump campaign aides?"

If a judge approved a FISA warrant based solely on an uncorroborated oppo research dossier, then YES, there absolutely needs to be an investigation into that judge and s/he needs to be removed. The FBI can't just randomly decide to wire tap people - a judge has to approve it based on factual evidence. But none of that has anything to do with Hillary Clinton or Obama - and since none of that has changed one bit just because we now officially know Clinton/the DNC funded the research behind the dossier, it's really weird that Republicans are now suddenly outraged about it.

(OK, it's not weird at all.)
