I’d agree that, as of now, Trump is even more generally unpopular than GWB was at that time. We’ll see if that holds up over the next year. If it does, the stage would seemingly be set for a sea change. Need quality candidates and an appealing message, though. “Just say no to the party of Trump” isn’t likely to be enough.
