He should've been there and said he didn't deserve credit for that. He did

indeed give a bit of a mealy mouth answer when pushed about accepting NRA money in the future, but his point was not all that crazy - here's what I believe and why, including some revisions, if the NRA still wants to buy into that and support me, that's fine. Now I realize it's a bit silly to suggest he would never shape his policies to appease them, or to answer when they call, I'll grant that. But it was a bit of a silly attempt at a gotcha question playing on the boogeyman that is the NRA in a clearly anti-NRA crowd. Had the topic been abortion, would you expect Nelson to stand up there and say "OK, I won't take any money from Planned Parenthood"?
