Nothing in the Bible would suggest that Jesus nullified the Word of the Old Testament though. It says just the opposite. Non literalist Christians simply don’t believe that the Old Testament sets out the literal words of God, as opposed to the mythos of a Bronze Age tribe that the Church adopted.

This is a funny one that shows the impact of even modern day politics on the translation of the original Hebrew.
