Yes because the justice system is never motivated by politics or populist

outrage. The Duke Lacrosse team would like a word with you. Yeah, that's the only reason why the media is handling these two differently. SMH.

Honestly I'm not getting too worked up about either case. If you don't realize by now, and are now bothered by it, that anything you put on FB is captured and sold for marketing, you probably shouldn't be on there. If anything, from a criminal viewpoint, it seems the Prof here should be the one taking heat either for selling to CA the data he obtained for other purposes, or for knowingly defrauding FB by pretending it was for one purpose while knowingly being a front man for CA all along.

But you guys can't resist the instinct to turn this into yet another "get Trump" attempt. If what Obama did was simply "buying a service FB offered", why else would it matter that CA did the same thing, even if by a different avenue through the prof? Wouldn't it ultimately be the same service? Data on you and your friends.

Seems to me the only thing worthy of being bothered by is that FB is allowing someone to get info on you without your permission, only with the permission of one of your "friends". And then allowed someone to generate fake posts as if they were from your "friends" (as opposed to just a suggested post, ad, etc.). The political motivation behind it seems pretty irrelevant in determining whether that's right or wrong (or acceptable to us if we want to continue using FB). Wouldn't be any more right or wrong if that method was used to spam me with fake friend posts touting the Chokie football team or razors.
