One, it's funny (in a British humor sort of way). The fact that our POTUS is embroiled in a legal dispute with an adult entertainer, and she likely has the upper hand, is funny. Two, the hypocracy of the evangicals is annoying to no end. As someone who isn't religious, the fact that Trump is their guy, with all his baggage, is hysterical to me. Three, Trump could be in legal trouble here regarding election laws. It's possible he received non-monetary benefits to benefit his election campaign and he didn't disclose them (or worse, he/his campaign was involved in the cash payment). That probably pales in comparison to his other legal woes, but it's still something. The infidelity makes him an awful husband, but that puts him in line with 50% of the population (and it wouldn't surprise me if that number is higher for politicians/powerful people), but really Melania is the only one who should judge him on that. Him cheating isn't the story. It's the side stories that make it funny, and have the chance to put him in legal jeopardy. Also, there's the 'coincidence' that his meeting her overlaps with the location/similar story of one of his accusers makes the accuser's story that much more believable. So while an extramarital affair is one thing, an accused assault that played out similarly to an accepted advance adds credibility to the assault allegation. Trump has gotten a pass on the dozen plus assault allegations. It's easy to forget those.
