"Strictly enforce immigration laws"
That's one way of describing it. Another way would be to point out, correctly, that...
- Kids are being separated from their parents on a daily basis
- People who have lived in America their entire lives have been deported to countries they've barely set foot in, and some have already been killed
- ICE has shown up to court proceedings for domestic abuse survivors seeking legal protection
- The AG has threatened to arrest an American mayor merely for warning her citizens that raids were coming
- The federal government has threatened to withhold funds from cities for not cooperating with raids
- The ICE detention system places detainees, many of whom committed no crime other than being in the country illegally, under inhumane conditions
Hitler didn't open the death camps the day he took power, either. At the beginning, a man lost his job or a kid got kicked out of school, and "real" Germans were encouraged to view this as opening more opportunities for them.
