Surely an allegedly former CPA wasn't surprised by that easily predictable

result, right? That tends to happen when you go to new lower withholding tables (I notice you conveniently didn't include Jan) and lower payments on the Corp side and should surprise no one, let alone you. But that doesn't change the fact that we have a spending problem.

To quote Beatrice's friend "that's not how this works that's not how any of this works". Maybe the linked chart will help you. Pay particular attention to the early 80's and early 00's and then see where it ends up (adjusted for inflation) a few years later despite the mysterious phenomenon that caused the above.
